ABOUT US

Founded by a team of graduate students at the University of Cambridge, the Better Science Project is a UK-based think tank focusing on alternative models for funding, structuring, and sharing scientific research. We aim to turn the tools of science on itself to develop new, diversified models for how research is done in the UK.​
 

To do so, we conduct metascience research to identify the best ways to propel innovation, and translate these insights into concrete policy recommendations. In addition, we initiate and support real-world metascience projects to help build an ecosystem of scientific institutions for the 21st century.
